BROWARD EMERGENCY MEDICINE

Orientation PA and ARNP students must watch the ED ORIENTATION video prior to your first shift. The video covers the objectives, grading, scheduling, documentation, educational conferences, and pearls for success on the rotation. There is also an explanation for student case presentations which are due at the end of the rotation. If you are new to the ED, notify your attending on your first shift and you will be given a tour.  There is also a recorded tour that you can watch on the orientation video.

Computer Training: Be sure to watch the BHMC FirstNet Training video prior to your first ED shift. If you have any questions about FirstNet please contact Marie Chardeline Glaude or Rohi Warsi in clinical education.

Educational Conferences:  Conference schedule is posted under Conferences on this website.

Scheduling: Students rotating any PA or NP program must set up their rotation through their  school. You may contact EDrotation@browardhealth.org to see if you’ve been approved for the rotation. Once approved, you should receive an email about 1-2 weeks prior to your start date from Broward Health GME. They will be handling your schedule so send them your scheduling requests at least 2 weeks prior to your start date and they will be honored within reason. Your schedule will be posted prior to the start date of the rotation. Please check this website for current schedule, conference information, and downloads.
